Our Team

Dr. David Brown founded Fishers Veterinary Associates with the opening of Fishers Veterinary Hospital in 1979. He is a 1977 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, and completed a one-year internship at South Shore Veterinary Hospital in Boston in 1978. Dr. Brown has a wide-ranging interest, knowledge, and skill in medical and surgical care. He has been very active in Fishers and Carmel for many years, including Hamilton County 4-H, youth sports programs, and the Humane Society. In his time away from the practice, Dr. Brown enjoys hunting, backpacking, and hiking.

Dr. Karen Collins graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology, also from Ohio State, in 1995. She has been a member of our staff of veterinarians since 2002 and has been a partner in the practice for the last seven years. Dr. Collins’ areas of interest include Emergency and Critical Care medicine and soft tissue and orthopedic surgery. Dr. Collins and her husband, Matt, enjoy spending time with their son Ethan and their two dogs, Scarlet and Daphne.

Dr. Todd Cloud attended Hanover College and received his undergraduate degree in biology in 1997. After teaching high school in Indianapolis for five years, he obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. Dr. Cloud and his wife Carla live in historic Irvington and are proud parents of twins, Sam and Maggie. They share their home with a yellow lab named Holden, a beagle named Betty, and a cat named Little Girl. In his free time he enjoys running, gardening, and working on his house.

Dr. Sarah Lee is a 2001 graduate of Iowa State University and joined the practice in 2002 after completing a small animal internship in the Indianapolis area. In 2010 she decided to pursue her interest in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and has since completed an acupuncture course through the Chi Institute in Reddick, Fl. She feels there is a great potential to help animals through integration of both Western and Eastern Medicine and is currently taking classes in herbal medicine as well. Away from the office, Dr. Lee and her husband, John, stay busy raising their 3 kids, Jace, Gwyneth, and Quinn. In addition, Dr. Lee enjoys gardening, cooking, and reading. Her furry family consists of gentle soul named Knowa, who is a rescued greyhound.

Dr. Molly Cable graduated with a DVM from Purdue University in 2010. She also earned a Bachelors of Science degree from Olivet Nazarene University in 2004. Her professional interests include ophthalmology, nutrition, pain control and dentistry. She and her wonderful husband, Brian, both hail from the Midwest. They have three beautiful girls, Madison, Adelen, and Augusta. Their furry children include a doxie named Pretzel and Maserati the mutt. In her spare time, Dr. Cable likes to do anything that involves her family, run, read, and practice photography.

Dr. Kristen Mozeika graduated with her DVM from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018 and has been with Fishers Veterinary Associates ever since. She is originally from Seattle, WA and attended University of Minnesota for her undergraduate degree. Her interests in veterinary medicine include animal behavior, surgery and public health, and she is a member of the AVMA and IVMA. She has also received a Master’s in Public Health degree from the University of Minnesota in 2018.

Dr. Mozeika always wanted to be a veterinarian as long as she could remember. She worked at a local vet clinic in Seattle growing up and volunteered with animals at shelters, zoos, rehab centers, etc. She always loved working with animals and in veterinary school, initially wanted to specialize in public health. It wasn’t until her final year doing externships in public health and then general practice, that she realized general practice was the right fit. Dr. Mozeika loves educating clients and interacting with people.

“I live with my boyfriend, Weston, and we have 4 pets: a retired racing Greyhound named Athena, a rescue mix named Dexter, a Russell Terrier named Achilles and a rescue cat named Pancetta. I love the outdoors, camping, kayaking and hiking. I do photography and mainly take photos of my dogs (Achilles has is own Instagram: seeachillesheel!). Athena and I are also a certified therapy team and visit local schools, churches and medical facilities in the area!“

Nancy has worked with Fishers Veterinary Associates since 2018. She is originally from Washington, IL – a small town in central Illinois outside Peoria. She got the veterinary bug spending time on her friend’s farm, and soon was volunteering and then working as a kennel/veterinary assistant at the local vet. I proceeded to Iowa State University and then finished my Veterinary Technology and Bachelor’s Degree with a specialty in Animal Behavior at Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine.

“When I was in 2nd grade we had a beloved family dog whom went in to severe seizures one afternoon. I remember being petrified of the situation and rushing the dog to the vet. I remember sitting in the lobby waiting on word of my dog’s condition and the veterinary technician coming out to console me and explaining everything that was happening in very simple, understanding terms for me. The veterinarian later came and took me back to visit my dog and spent more time explaining and assuring me things were going to be okay and explaining why this happened and how they could fix it. The time the veterinary staff spent with me made me feel my pet was in the best hands possible and that they cared about helping me as well as my dog. From that day forward I knew I wanted to be able to help animals and their families with their animal medical issues and provide that same comfort to people when they need it.”

Rita has worked with Fishers Veterinary Associates since 2013. She grew up just outside a small town with farm animals and fields, and spent most of her childhood outside with animals. After talking and then working for a local veterinarian, Rita decided to become a Veterinary Technician. She graduated from Purdue with her Bachelor’s in 2008 and got her first job on the west side of Indianapolis working in a small animal practice. She then moved to emergency medicine, where she met her husband. They moved to Fishers and got married, and shortly after that Rita joined our team at Fishers Veterinary Hospital.

“I always knew I wanted to help people but I had this love for the outdoors and animals. I learned about this profession and knew I could do both of these things. My favorite part about working with animals is when I get to see an owner take their pet home feeling better and knowing how to help keep them healthy. I have always enjoyed my job but there was a particularly difficult and busy night in the emergency clinic where my doctor was relying on me specifically to help and get things done. We had setbacks but the majority of the clients that night went home less concerned and knowing how to help their pets properly. That is when I knew I was in the right profession.”

Rita’s family is made up of her husband Matthew, 2 daughters Katelyn and Elizabeth, 2 cats Dash and Kitten, and 1 dog Lilly. When not working at the veterinary clinic, she enjoys spending time with family outdoors. They love to visit parks, play, and hike. Rita also enjoys reading and watching supernatural stories, and the healthy competition of playing board games with her husband!
